Camphill – long term project
Tapola is a Camphill-Village in Finland, an anthroposophical community for handicaped people, one of over a hundred such communities worldwide. Camphill allows people to lead a full life, in spite of their different mental, emotional and physical disabilities.
In my project I focus on the people and their moments of calm; my aim is to capture and convey the atmosphere that prevails in Camphill communities.
I started my project about Camphill in 2011, since then it has developed into a long term project of mine – I have photographed in three different Camphills Communities - in Finland, Germany and Scotland.
